OP-SB7XC and OP-SB7XL, new expansion boards for in-vehicle communication such as CAN FD, CXPI, LIN are to be released.

As in-vehicle communication options for the new protocol analyzer LE-3500XR/LE-2500XR, LINEEYE Co., Ltd. will release the expansion board OP-SB7XC and OP-SB7XL which can measure the next-generation in-vehicle network such as CAN FD and CXPI.

Background

The in-vehicle communication standards CAN and LIN have been widely used for many years in the fields of automobiles and FA. The high reliability required for automotive applications is one of the features of these communication standards, but in recent years, new communication standards with higher speed and expandability are increasingly adopted. In particular, "CAN FD", which is an extension of CAN to achieve higher speeds, and "CXPI", an in-vehicle LAN standard from Japan, have received great attention as next-generation standards.

Outline

OP-SB7XC / OP-SB7XL are expansion borads used by installing them into the expansion slot of protocol analyzer LE-3500XR / LE-2500XR.
OP-SB7XC supports CAN FD,CAN, and CXPI. OP-SB7XL supports CAN FD, CAN, and LIN. By the monitor function with which they display real-time data while capturing communication data in the measurement memory, the simulation function by which they send arbitrary data to the communication partner, the ID filter function, and the trigger function they support efficient development and evaluation.
Both OP-SB7XC / OP-SB7XL have two measurement channels, and you can select communication of same/different standard for each channel for simultaneous measurement. In addition, 4 external input signals (as digital signals or analog signals) can be measured simultaneously with communication data. Since with the analzyer they can be operated as standalone device without a PC, it is ideal for field testing and on-site maintenance by utilizing the touch panel and color LCD of the analyzer body.
